What the company does

One company, five websites, one way of working: documents drafted with lawyers, kept current as the law changes, and sold at a price most people can afford.

Each LegalWills website serves one jurisdiction. The documents on it are written for that country's law, province by province and state by state, and are updated when the law changes. Customers pay in their own currency and are supported by a team that knows their jurisdiction.

PartingWishes.com, the company's original website, no longer sells estate-planning documents. It identifies the company, sends visitors to the right LegalWills website, and hosts the online memorials that families have kept with us for more than twenty years.

We do not guard knowledge or service. Anyone with an estate-planning question can ask us, customer or not, and we have never sold customer information.

The team

The people who run the company and its websites, from design and development to legal review, marketing, customer service and operations.

    Co-founder

    A business leader with experience in telecommunications, e-commerce and management, and more than twenty years helping people write their Wills and other estate-planning documents. Honours degree in Human Factors, Loughborough University of Technology.

  • Henry Raud

    Co-founder

    An executive whose career spans more than thirty years in personal computing, telecommunications and software development. Honours Computer Science degree, University of Toronto.

  • Jessica Houle, LL.L., J.D.

    Chief Strategy Officer

    A bilingual Wills and estates lawyer with more than a decade of experience in estate planning and administration, holding Civil Law and Common Law degrees. She sets the direction of the products and how they evolve for the people who use them.

    Director of Technology

    A systems engineer with more than twenty years in cloud infrastructure, security and platform design, responsible for the day-to-day execution of the company's technology.

  • Laura Azzi, Accurate Creative

    Marketing Lead

    A marketing and communications professional with Accurate Creative, the agency that partners with PartingWishes Inc. on marketing, leading the company's brand, campaigns and customer communications.

    Legal Lead

    An attorney practising estate planning and probate for twenty-five years, advising on the options for an estate plan that preserves an estate and limits tax.

    More than ten years in corporate, commercial and employment law before joining in 2020 to guide customers through the company's services.
