Peggy Sue was a gracious and wonderful woman of God. She was a great grandmother to her 2 grandsons Korbyn and Deagyn Fitts. Strong willed and determined she was to get things done and help others. Hard working and full of energy nothing could slow her down. Full of life she loved to get up on sunday mornings and get to play dress us(as she would say) to go to church. Always with a smile on her face during good times and bad. She was out to spread the word of God to all. Being the woman she was she walked the walk and talked the talk!! To remember her laugh it was one of a kind.Well in January of 2005 she found out that she had a brain tumor. That still did not stop her and long as she was breathing she was spreading cheer. She went through surgery and treatments. In April 2005 she went back cause she had a sinus infection, so they done surgery and took out her sinus cavities. The treatments had killed her white blood cells and so she had no immune system. The infection traveled to her lungs! She lost her battle to brain cancer April 30,2005. But she put up a fight. And God came to take her home where he had prepared a place for Her. She left behind 2 daughters Pamela Fitts and (myself) Stephanie Haas, 2 sons Michael Duncan Jr. and Jimmy Mathis, and 2 wonderful grandsons Korbyn Fitts(4) and Deagyn Fitts(2). We all miss her and love her dearly. So with warm hearts and loving memories we remember Peggy Sue!!
It's been a year!
It's been a year since you was here.
Filled with fear not able to hold you near.
Can't hear your voice with the phone to my ear.
Now when you appear your image is not clear.
It's been a year since I saw your face.
Filled with joy and so much grace.
Can't see your smile or feel your sweet embrace.
Now I know your safe and no one could ever take your place.
It's been a year since I felt your touch.
Filled with happiness and love as such.
Can't feel your arms or your hand in mine to clutch.
Now to see your picture on the hutch hurts too much.
It's been a year missing you down here.
Filled with sadness and eye's full of tears.
Can't think of you and things be clear.
Now I'm lost without you to guide my fear.
It's been a year
Since Peggy Sue was here
And we all miss her dear!
