Mrs. Holsteen was a homemaker. She was a member of First Congregational Church, Norman Circle and King's Daughters. 

Survivors include two daughters, Mary K. Palmberg of Iowa City and Jane L. Brown of Denver; six grandchildren; four great–grandchildren; and two nephews, Bob Off of Santa Ana, CA and Greg Off of Springfield, IL.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and her brother.

Following cremation, private family services will be at a later date.

A memorial has been established for First Congregational Church in Burlington.
