You were destined to become our son and that made me very proud,

Eventhough I never got to hear you call my name out-loud,

You were all we ever hoped you'd be just like we all knew you would,

But I never got to hold you like I should,



I never got to tell you bedtime stories in the night,

Or walk beside you in the fallen snow,

I never got to hold you close and say "It's gonna be alright"

Or tell you all the things a little boy needs to know,

I never got to show you all the love I have for you

Or do all the things for you a mama could,

But of all the things we missed...I think the thing I miss the most,
