Louie is survived by his wife Isabel of nearly 50 years, his 7 children, 22 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 5 sisters and one brother.

Personal Notes


I consider myself rich with the blessing of having my Uncle Louie be such a tenacious inspiration when it came to sharing the Lord. It wasn't unusual to find yourself energized and the Bible enthusiastically reinforced after a visit with him. Reminiscing the great times spent together as a family and one-on-one will be a priceless keepsake. His infectious sense of humor has been generously passed on to his descendants, and I will remember him with love and affection.

For me to live, is Christ and to die is gain. Phil 1:21 What greater legacy, can one leave to his family but a life that exemplified a faithful servant of Christ. Growing up around Uncle Louie was being exposed to the Christian life. Through him I learned that Christianity is a religion of CANs not Can’ts. No one lived life with more passion and zeal than he.
I’ll never forget his boldness for the Lord, his contagious laugh and sense of humor nor his love and affection for his family.

Doctor, as we affectionately called Bro Louie because of his command of the Word of God, is someone I refer to as a mentor in my life. He always took the time to teach, encourage and yes, even diciplined me. I loved him for that. I often sought counsel and wisdom from him. He displayed such freedom in worship and integrity in his walk with his God. I will miss him greatly.
Paul, Mark, and Sammy - I love & miss you guys. Sis Isabel, Sis J, and Gloria, my prayers are with you during this time.

What an inspiration Bro. Louie was to my life. I have not seen him for many years but I have never forgotten the Christian walk he showed me as a young adult growing in the Lord. I admired him tremendously. Just know that he is enjoying himself right now. I can just see him, wonder eyed and with such joy in his heart. After all isn't this what we all look forward to, the presence of our Saviour? My prayers are with all the family. Be strong in Him.

If there ever was a hero that a young man could choose in one's life, Louie Millan would be that man. His life-long passion was to incorporate the presence of Jesus Christ in everything he did and everything he was. Whether it was with his family, his neighborhood, his work, or his church commitments, Louie never forgot who he served,.... Jesus Christ. I have just one thing to say aout that, "Dad, I am proud to be your son!"
